Paula Morris is a short story writer and novelist of English and Maori (Ngati Wai) descent. Her most recent novel, Rangatira, won the fiction categories at the 2012 New Zealand Post Book Awards and Nga Kupu Ora Maori Book Awards. Born in Auckland, she has lived much of her life in the US and the UK. She is currently Fiction Writer-in-Residence at the University of Sheffield.
