Jiang Rong
Jiang Rong, born in 1946, joined one of the first waves of intellectuals to volunteer with native nomadic communities. After an eleven year stint, he embarked on postgraduate studies in Political Science, followed by an academic position at Beijing University. Now retired, he lives in Beijing with his wife. Wolf Totem is his first novel.
